Professional Carers employs carers that are caring, flexible and committed to their role. Do you want to be part of the team. We are currently looking for carers and enablers [S.T.A.R] in the following areas: -


Wirral Merseyside - Wallasey, BLeasowe, Moreton, Upton, Greasby, West Kirby, Hoylake, Meols, Greasby, Frankby, Birkenhead [all areas]


In addition to this we also have carer vacancies in:


Edinburgh, Almond - Ratho, Kirkliston, South Queensferry, Newbridge, Barnton, Cramond, Barnton, Parkgrove, Clermiston, Drumbrae


Previous experience is an advantage but full training will be given. Car drivers preferred but not essential. If you do not have access to a vehicle you must be prepared to use public transport or other means of transport to enable you to get to your care calls e.g. bicycle, walking. 

We offer the following:


  • Full training in house to equip you with the skills needed to provide a high quality care service inc. manual handling, food hygiene, safeguarding adults, basic first aid, effective communication, dementia awareness, person centered support, catheter / stoma care and palliative [end of life] care. All training provided is in line with guidelines as per Skills for Care.
  • Excellent rates of pay - above the minimum and national living wage regradless of age [currently £8.60 rising to £8.80 for Wirral and £10.00 per hour for Scotland employee's].
  • Milegage payment of 20 pence for car drivers for those staff working in the Wirral and 15 pence for our Edinburgh team.
  • Opportunities to progress including support and funding to complete a level 2 & 3 QCF / SVQ in Health and Social Care.
  • Opportunities to complete theCare Certificate.
  • Flexible zero hour and contracted hours available [subject to acceptance and completion of probationary period].
  • Free uniform and PPE [gloves / aprons etc]. 
  • Flexible working hours to suit your needs.
  • Up to 28 days paid holidays.
  • Regular service users and consistent hours.
  • Opportunities for promotion to Senior Carer and office / management roles.
  • Mentoring scheme.
  • Support from a 24/7 on call emergency line.

Professional Carers is currently seeking applicants interested in a full time administrators position which has become available at our head office in Wallasey, Wirral. The working hours are 09.00am - 5.00pm and the successful candidate will be classed as an apprentice, who will be working towards a Level 2 QCF in Business Administration. 


Please note applicants for this role are initially being dealt with by our training provider Progress to Excellence. If successfully screened you will then be invited for an interview at our main office before being offered a position.
